After sharing first place with Germantown and Ichabod Crane last season, Taconic Hills made a statement in its first meeting with the Germantown this fall by way of a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. Taconic Hills now stands as the only undefeated team in Patroon Conference (N.Y.) varsity field hockey play. The Attleboro (Mass.) High field hockey team dominated Taunton for its first Old Colony League victory of the season Tuesday, holding the visitors to just two shots on goal in a 3-0 victory. Kara Mercier got Attleboro (4-0-2 ) on the scoreboard first and Kaleigh Gagnon and Jordan Childs added second-half goals. Read more.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School (6-1) field hockey team whipped visiting Bedford 6-2 on Tuesday in Dover, N.H., but after the game the Saints felt it was far from their best performance of the season. “Today wasn’t a showcase of how we can play,” St. Thomas junior midfielder Emily Baker said. “(We need) to get back in sync with one another.
