Kent Denver earns 8th Colorado field hockey title by blanking Denver East

Kent Denver’s red-hot defense clamped down on Denver East, while the offense managed goals in both halves, as the Sun Devils topped the Angels 2-0 on Wednesday to claim its eight Colorado state title. Jesse Burke scored a first-half goal on a perfect crossing pass from Molly Coates and Lucy Dikeou added an insurance goal in the second half on a penalty corner pass from Lizzie Strazza for Kent, which won all three of its playoff games by a 2-0 margin.
