Maryland crowns high school field hockey champs in Class 3A, 2A and 1A

Here’s a roundup of the champions in three classes of Maryland high school field hockey.

  • CLASS 3A: Senior Taylor Cummins scored early and Hereford High School held on for a 1-0 victory over Blake. It was the Bulls’ sixth championship and its first since 2006. Read more at the Baltimore Sun.
  • CLASS 2A: Fallston, which lost its first three games of the season, completed a 13-game undefeated run with a 3-2 win over Century in the 2A state final, the school’s third straight championship Champs. Read more.
  • CLASS 1A: The Pocomoke Warriors got three goals from junior midfielder Taylor West on Saturday to key a 5-1 victory in the Class 1A state championship over Bohemia Manor. It was Pocomoke’s 17th state championship and its seventh in a row. Read more.
