Shore blanks nemesis Oak Knoll to reach field hockey semifinals in New Jersey

Even though Shore Regional had been eliminated from the New Jersey state field hockey tournament by Oak Knoll the past two seasons, Shore’s players weren’t wary of meeting them this year. “We were excited to get another chance to play them,” said senior Brenna Rescigno. So now they must be REALLY excited: led by first-half goals from Rescigno and Aileen Johnson, Shore won a 2-0 decision Monday in the championship game of the NJSIAA/Schuykill Valley Sports North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1 tournament.
